It's all about the audience
We work with any organisation who wants to have a valuable relationship with their audience. That might be an audience of readers, subscribers, members, employees or customers; either way, all organisations need to engage with their audience effectively, and social media is an essential tool for doing so.
Our key sectors
We work primarily with three key sectors: publishers, professional bodies and the third sector. We also do some work with the public sector, and we're always keen to share our experience with businesses that might consider themselves outside our radar.
Publishers
We work with publishers because we are a publisher. Our sister company, Sift Media, has been publishing online community titles, including AccountingWeb, HRZone, Business Zone and UK Business Forums, since 1997 and we've shared a lot of knowledge along the way. Because we understand online publishing intimately, we can offer both strategic advice and tailored technology to other publishers.
Professional bodies
There has never been a more important time for professional bodies to embrace social media and get to know their members better. Belts are tighter than ever, and professional bodies must deliver maximum value to their members, becoming the first port of call online for both current and future individual and corporate members. Professional bodies have traditionally communicated with their members through a publication, and we have helped many organisations by applying the same thinking that has made our own titles so successful.
The third sector
Profit might not be at the top of the agenda in the third sector, but member retention certainly is, with more and more charities, NfPs and voluntary organisations wanting to build a relationship with their online audience. We can help bring a global member base together online whilst building brand awareness and maximising the potential to retain interest and generate revenue.
